JRE Security Warning – UNKNOWN Publisher Blocked in Future Releases – JAR File Manifest Missing Permissions Attribute  Note that in this particular instance, the “UNKNOWN publishers” Security Warning is being thrown because the jacob.jar file from SourceForge has been self-signed using the Oracle provided courtesy script, sign_webutil.sh(bat). You will also see this warning if you have other custom jar files (icons, java beans, etc) that are signed with this script or not signed with a certificate from a Trusted Certificate Authority.
